ABOUT US
Where It Started
Outdoor Illumination Co. didn't start in a boardroom. It started in high school, with a ladder, a string of lights, and our founder's willingness to figure things out along the way. What began as a side hustle to earn some extra money turned into something worth building for the long run — because every yard lit up, every family standing on their driveway seeing their own home in a new light, was proof the work mattered.
That side hustle never stopped. Word spread from neighbor to neighbor, one string of lights led to the next job, and what started with a single ladder eventually grew into a real team — people who cared as much about getting it right as we did from day one.
Today, that same drive is still behind everything we do. We've traded guesswork for real design process, added the tools and technology to do things at a bigger scale, and built a business around one idea that never changed: every property deserves lighting done right. That's still what gets us up on the ladder — literally and figuratively — every single day.
ABOUT US
Why We Care
Outdoor Illumination Co. was built on a simple belief: the work you do should reflect who you are, done with integrity, done in service of other people, and done well even when no one’s checking. That’s not a slogan here — it’s the standard every job gets held to, whether it’s a single strand of holiday lights or a full architectural lighting design.
We’re a small crew, not a call center. When you talk to us, you’re talking to the people who will actually be on your property, running the wire, setting the transformer, checking every connection twice. We don’t disappear after installation. We don’t oversell what your property doesn’t need. We tell you the truth about what will look good, what will hold up, and what will cost what it costs — because trust is the only way this kind of work is worth doing.
Still deciding if we're the right fit? Here's what most clients like to know before starting a project with us.
1.
Craftsmanship first.
Every fixture placed with intention, every wire run clean, every job done right the first time.
2.
Honesty, always.
No upsells, no vague pricing, no surprises — just clear answers and fair recommendations.
3.
A partner for the long haul.
Seasons change, systems age, and needs evolve. We’re here for the tune-ups, the repairs, and the next upgrade, not just the first install.
Whatever the season or the occasion, we bring the same care to your home that we brought to that very first yard, years ago — with a lot less experience and just as much heart.
Let’s light up something
worth coming home to.
